NaBloPoMo

October 10, 2007 § 1 Comment

National Blog Posting Month is a take on the National Novel Writing Month that takes place in November. So, while I won’t be even trying to write a novel in a month, I will be joining a bunch of bloggers who intend to write a post every day for the month of November. For some, this is no feat. We’ll see what it becomes for me. Sometimes I do get fired up bloggy-style and can’t seem to stop writing. It’s still doable now that bilingual baby still takes a couple of naps during the day. We’ll see what comes of it.

§ One Response to NaBloPoMo

  • Cliff Burns says:

National Novel Writing Month is an idiotic notion which gives “wannabes” the false illusion that they’re REAL authors. News for you folks: REAL authors write every month…every day, in fact.

I do , however, like the notion of a Blog Posting Month, the concept of which isn’t nearly as onerous. Let’s get a surfeit of points of view out there, people posting on a variety of subjects near and dear to their hearts (as long as there’s critical thinking involved and not just “poor me, I’m lonely and no one understands me, think I’ll sit at the window and sigh as I stare out at the rain” crap.

There’s far too much of that about in the blogosphere unfortunately…
